FAQ - Function & Care
Does the Intestinal Herbal Oil 20 contain CBD?
No. Although the oil contains hemp oil, there are no CBD portions included.
Is the poultry protein used in the “Joint Support Powder” or in the “Gastrointestinal Emulsion” hydrolyzed or dried?
In the formulations, dried poultry protein is used (see declaration). It is not hydrolyzed. The risk of an allergy therefore remains theoretically, even though the protein is gently processed.
What are the differences between the joint products (Powder, Paste, Pellets, Snacks)?
Powder: Flexibly dosable, especially for daily mixing into (wet) food. Pastes: Easy administration, often with particularly high acceptance. Can also be used as a treat for licking. Pellets: Practical for exact dosing and highly concentrated. Optimal for acute complaints. Snacks: Functional & rewarding at the same time – ideal for the combination of effect and positive feeding experience. Very suitable for picky animals.
What is the difference between BARF Salmon Oil andSupplement Salmon Oil?
BARF Salmon Oil: classic oil, can be a valuable component of raw feeding, focus on omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Supplement Salmon Oil: additionally, contains functional additives (e.g. vitamin E) or is tailored to special needs.
How many coins are contained in one bag of Supplement Snacks?
Each bag contains 150 g of content. The number of coins varies depending on variety and size. Even though the coin size may vary slightly, the amount of supplement active ingredients is evenly distributed throughout the bag, so the effect is not impaired.
What distinguishes Supplement Dental Snacks from the Dental chewing articles?
Supplement Dental Snacks: smaller, round snack with functional active ingredients for teeth and oral flora. Dental or also Country Dental: elongated stick, rather a chewing snack with mechanical cleaning effect.
Can I combine different Supplement Snacks?
Yes, a combination is possible. It is important to follow the feeding recommendations so that there is no oversupply of individual active ingredients.
How long does the Supplement Snack Relax take effect?
This calming snack is ideal for nervous dogs and cats that suffer from stress, e.g. on New Year’s Eve or at the vet. We recommend a daily ration of one snack per 5 kg of body weight. This amount provides the ideal dose of ingredients for your pet. The snacks can be fed without a long delay, as no build-up over several days is required. For a generally more relaxed mood of your pet, the snack can, however, be given 1–2 days before the expected stress situation. It is not necessary to feed more than the amount indicated in the feeding recommendation, although a higher amount is not harmful to health.

Supplement Snack Extra Power with L-Carnitine – does it support the heart?
L-Carnitine is an important nutrient for energy metabolism and muscles. It can support the heart, but it does not replace veterinary therapy. For dogs with heart problems, administration should
always be done in consultation with a veterinarian.
Why are there new packaging designs now?
The new Function & Care products appear in auniform, modern design. This makes it easier for you to recognize the products and get all the important information at a glance. Some formulations have also been improved so that your pet receives even more targeted support. In addition, we have deliberately omitted secondary packaging for many products and, for example, switched to plastic cans with recycled material content.
Are the new products suitable for dogs and cats?
Yes. Many Function & Care products are developed for both species – the composition is designed so that both dogs and cats benefit from the ingredients. On each package you will find a clear indication of suitability.
Can I give the Supplement Snacks every day?
Yes, Supplement Snacks are suitable for daily feeding. Please follow the feeding recommendation on the packaging so that your pet receives the correct amount.
Is there an age restriction for the Supplement Snacks and complementary feeds?
Most products are suitable from young adulthood. For puppies and kittens up to 6 months, we recommend consulting your veterinarian first, as nutrient requirements during the growth phase are
very individual. From one year of age, they are recommended for all animals.
Why should I give my pet complementary feed?
Breed-specific characteristics may require targeted support. In addition, the daily feed does not necessarily cover all possible special needs – therefore, supplementation can be useful.
Can I give all complementary feeds safely to pregnant or lactating animals?
For pregnant or lactating animals, please consult a nutrition expert or your veterinarian regarding dosage and administration of complementary feeds.
What shouldI do if my pet does not immediately accept the supplement?
Some animals are picky. Tip: Offer snacks as a reward or mix them with the favorite food, and introduce small amounts over several days. Thanks to the good palatability, most dogs and cats accept the supplements very well.
How long does it take until I see an effect?
That depends on the product and the individual animal:
- Snacks for relaxation or digestion: effect often noticeable in the short term.
- Skin, coat, or joint products: effect usually visible after a few weeks, as these processes take time.
