The well-being of our animals

Dr.Clauder is a medium-sized family business from the Lower Rhine region with a long tradition and thus decades of expertise in the production of food and nutritional supplements for dogs and cats.

Based in Hamminkeln in the Lower Rhine region, close to Wesel and Bocholt, we sell our products in 65 countries and provide a secure and future-oriented workplace for around 100 employees and 10 office dogs. The annual studies "Price Winner" and "Germany's Best" are based on the method of social listening in two stages. In the first step, the Institute for Management and Economic Research analyses websites, social media channels or news sites to find out which brands or companies are talked about "how".

Source base "Price Winner 2022": 19,000 companies or brands were examined. In the process, around 11 million mentions within the investigation period from 01 July 2021 to 30 June 2022 were identified and recorded in a database.

Source base "Germany's Best 2022": Around 58 million mentions for around 20,000 companies and brands could be identified and allocated within the investigation period between April 2021 and April 2022.

The second step, the so-called processing, analyses the collected data according to the specifications of the respective object of investigation. For the categories value for money and brand image, a three-stage evaluation takes place based on the following core questions:

  • Which brand is mentioned?
  • How is the topic "value for money" or the brand discussed?
  • What is the tonality of the text fragment?

The mentions are evaluated with the help of a sentiment analysis and assigned to the categories positive, neutral or negative. A conversion key then transfers the results into comparable point values. Dr.Clauder's achieved 100 points in each of the current studies, setting the benchmark for the pet food industry.
