5 steps to the perfect tongue photo of your cat
Tongue-out Tuesday! You've probably seen those funny pictures of cats with their tongues out in your Instagram feed.To get the perfect tongue-out photo, you'll need a little patience, a camera with continuous shooting and your cat's favourite licking paste.
Cats are unique creatures - but they have their own personality traits. In this post, Kim explains how to get that unique shot. She is a hobby photographer and loves to photograph her two BKH cats Elton and Matheo - you can see it on her Instagram account: @bkh_elton.
What you need for the shoot
- Licking pastes e.g. Dr. Clauder's SNACK IT liver cream
- Camera or mobile phone with continuous shooting function
- if available: a softbox
- And of course your cat or tomcat
Step 1
Find a background of your choice (e.g. a plain wall or plants) and the position and angle at which you want to take the photo.
Step 2
Grab the licking paste and lure your cat or tomcat to the desired background. Reward them with the licking paste in between so that they don't lose their desire. At the same time, you arouse their interest in the tasty snack.
Step 3
Now get your four-legged friend to sit down.
Now you can start making funny faces!
Step 4
Attention, be attentive, because you will only see the tongue for a few seconds. So have your camera or mobile phone ready.
Now give your four-legged friend some of the licking paste. He will automatically start licking - this is YOUR moment!
Step 5
Now you have to be quick: trigger the continuous shooting function on your camera or mobile phone.
Snap! You've done it!
